I had mine done under anesthetic as I went private and the nurse said everyone should be made do it that way

I had a hysterocopy with biopsies and a mirena insertion straight after with no pain relief nothing at all and im still traumatised. At this point its staying in there forever 🙈😭 x

Been diagnosed with endo and adeno and they keep pushing the coil on me, I know they won’t help me until I try, but I’m so scared of it getting inserted

I have adenomyosis,literally in the muscle of my uterus,I have profound bleeings,about pain I don't even know where to start. I have endometriosis,DIE,I have a myoma,and I can't even have an ultrasound. I have pain 24/7 /365.. I'm 37 with one child .I am literally surviving not living. I cannot be put on contraceptive because i got migraine aura on it,almost had a stroke. And I am BEGGING my doctors for a hysterectomy,I know the risks,and I'm willing to take it. But FIRST they want to insert mirena coil. Which I refused. And NOW... I'M nowhere and I have to live with pain gradually taking my life away.

Wow I had camera and they numbed my cervix was uncomfortable but didn’t hurt. It disgusting how women are treated xx

I had 3 biopsies taken from my cervix with no pain relief. They told me to clap to take my mind off of it 💀

I remember when I had mine put in, had it done then went to work, apparently I looked grey, i was sweating they sent me home in the end now im about to get it removed I'm dreading it 👀

I was told to take paracetamol if i wanted to. It took her an hr and a half to get it in. when i went to get up she had to wedge a pillow between my legs. My legs give way after it was horrific

I had the coil after id had a child (to help with bleeding) it was totally painless to insert and when removed. Ive had an array of delights like smears, colposcopy’s, HSG, IVF to name a few, and I think the most important thing is options and feeling heard and in control✨

I had my first one removed and my next one inserted in 2019. Oh. My. GOD. My whole body was shaking when it was removed, went pale, threw up… you name it. It is utterly barbaric and SHAMEFUL that we don’t have any pain relief or anaesthetic!!!!!!

I've had two coils and it's agony, I know it's not the case for everyone but if I could get it under GA I would. I had the anesthetic gel with my last one and it doesn't do a thing.
