i live in one of the most atheist countries by percentage (78%, sweden) and because we dont teach religion as truth and teach about multiple religions, we have a better view of religion as a whole. i can confidently say that religion is just a coping mechanisms developed before modern science.

Sent down 7 plagues on the Egyptians over enslaving the Jewish people with many diseases, infestation, droughts which killed animals including killing the first born children. I could literally go on, I can't be bothered to find the pages for every single story, I am no longer a follower of any religion....
