ARC review: Hunter’s Treasure by Olivia Jackson. It turned out to be such an entertaining read for me. I gave it 4.5⭐️. The story follows Sydney, a divorced software engineer who travels through the South Pacific to scatter her father’s ashes using a map he created for an adventure he never got to take. When a storm wrecks her boat, she’s washed ashore on a remote island—where she meets Hunter, the island’s only resident. He rescues her, helps her recover, and becomes her unexpected partner as she adjusts to this completely new reality. The first half starts off a bit slow, but around the 60% mark, everything ramps up. The stakes get higher, twists start unfolding, and the story suddenly feels much more intense and gripping. One of my favorite parts was Sydney’s character growth. She transforms from someone glued to a computer screen with zero survival skills into a woman who can fish, fend for herself, and do things the old her would’ve never imagined. There’s also a treasure-hunting quest tied to the lost Treasure of Lima, which connects to Hunter’s past and his motivations. The forced proximity brings strong chemistry (and yes, there are some steamy moments). Overall, it’s action-packed, adventurous, and highly entertaining. If you love high-stakes romance with survival vibes and a treasure-hunt twist, I’d definitely recommend it. Many thanks to @NetGalley and @HarperCollinsUK for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. #NetGalley #Treasureshunter #OliviaJackson #bookreview #booktokfyp
