Ahh fascinating analysis. I’m AuDHD and use LLMs primarily to deepen my thinking. I want to be asked questions to help me expand the ‘world’ myself. I rarely see an AI hallucination, and if one does pop up it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The slow thinkers problem is a big one for me. people that have processing delay difficulties often get labeled as less intelligent, but some minds like yours just need to understand all the pieces of the puzzle. then can actually do wonderful things

This is so interesting. I'm ADHD and I really struggle to learn when the information is not tethered to anything. I always say I need a 'story' of sorts so I can relate the new information to something. Don't just tell me that something is. Tell me WHY it is.

Love this video - I now understand why I start at the end it the IKEA instructions instead of the beginning! 😂 So weird education punishes the kids for asking questions about the instructions. My grandad always encouraged me to figure out how something worked, I am so grateful for this now because it has made me better at work, better when I’m lost and just better with messy life problems in general. Please write the Maths book!!

Rule based learning is key in the maintenance of the US class system, and the country overall in its current state. It was a decision made in hopes to exploit vulnerabilities in critical thinking and autonomy. It's applied to much more than school work 😞

An interesting outcome that I’ve been finding lately in my use of LLMs is I’ll often use them to as you say “world build” and I’ll find in an area I’m not familiar with that it will guide me to the right answer but often there are several correct solutions and llms often aren’t able to provide the one that is best suited to my personal taste, workflow or style. I think more personal reflection and understanding of yourself is also going to be an important skill in the era of llms

I think there's also a very severe problem with how extensive curriculums are. There's no time for students to actually cement their knowledge on a subject. Then people are astonished that some adults can't, for example, divide household bills appropriately. They were never taught how to abstract a problem.
