it’s not just a “mindset,” it’s just life for a lot of us. 😭 but i, personally, don’t hate on mothers who GET to be themselves. who GET to get breaks & nights to themselves. i’m JEALOUS. 🤣 you are a mother, boo. and you’re getting to ENJOY your motherhood journey instead of just SURVIVING it. i LOVE my kids, but girl i am completely drained every day. As a single mom I feel the same I’m not surviving we are actually thriving and sometimes when the other moms tell me about their lives as single moms I feel bad to share my story

martyrdom does not equal good parenting! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I always try and think about when my daughter becomes a mom (if she so chooses) that I don't want her to think being a mom means giving up all of yourself. I want her to see a mom who still makes time for her friends and relationship with her partner and values her independence still.
