I think Standard Poodles are often more calm than the minis personally. they still need mental stimulation but are a little less frantic imo.

I can’t believe a vet is saying that a dog is hypo allergenic. That term is pure marketing. There’s no breed of animal that is ‘hypoallergenic’

I have had 7 mini poodles since 1970. I have two now. Active, intelligent, loving and easy breed. I have never had one tear up any items and love their toys. They love to play ball.

They’re not hypoallergenic. People are often allergic to salvia not dander. They are just low shedding. Also they need grooming 4-6 weeks to avoid matting and daily brushing. Not every other month.

Thank you for this! Poodles are such a misunderstood breed. I love them for their intelligence, their demeanour, they are so chilled as long as they are not just physically but mentally exercised as well. My poodle literally saved me from broken heart syndrome. They are a fantastic breed! 💕💕💕

I would also recommend getting a slicker brush and a comb to brush your poodle everyday to keep them from getting matted. Your groomer will appreciate it.
