@teacher.carlaah: National Reading Month 2025: Kinder Pajama Party Storytime Our classroom turned into a cozy reading nook, hindi gabi, pero parang bedtime vibes pa rin! The kids came in wearing their cutest pajamas, bringing their soft pillows or favorite stuffed toys. Ang saya ng ambiance: calm, comfy and perfect for a meaningful story moment. Our featured book of the day was Alamat ng Ampalaya, a well-loved Filipino tale that teaches children about accepting themselves and valuing what they already have. Habang binabasa ko ang kwento, the kids listened quietly, eyes wide, hearts open, curious why Ampalaya wanted to take the colors and qualities of others. We talked about the lesson: Hindi kailangang mainggit. Hindi kailangang kunin ang sa iba para lang maging “maganda” o “special.” Each child is unique, may sariling galing, sariling kulay, sariling charm. And just like vegetables in a garden, we all grow best when we appreciate what makes us different. National Reading Month reminds us that stories shape character. In this simple Pajama Party Reading Activity, the children: ✅practiced listening ✅learned values ✅connected with Filipino literature ✅and felt the joy of reading in a comfortable, playful way. And as the story ended, I knew the message stayed with them: “Be yourself. Huwag mainggit. Hueag kukuha ng hindi sayo. At laging maging mabuti.” #kindergartenteacher #NationalReadingMonth2025
