If the two went out to deal with a problem and the third was in a position to see them get swept away, he may have run out in a panic without any gear on in the hopes of saving them, only to also get swept off.

I think one of them was dealing with mental health issues, and when the storm hit, it was just too much for him. He ran out and one of the others went after him. When neither came back after an extended period of time, the third finally went to look for them, and all three were swept away by the storm. But I like the explanation of Sirens better.

My only theory forming is that the one who ran out in his short sleeves was probably having a mcmeltdown and ran out into the storm either for air or to hurl himself off the edge. His buddies probably followed him out to see if he was okay/going to be okay and either talked him out of it and convinced him that they could all just leave (it'd be easy), or they got swept out trying to save him and they didn't die, they just got misplaced and never went back.

If they were never found, then how is it known that one man was not wearing shoes and a jacket? He could've been wearing a 2nd pair of shoes and jacket. Just my initial thought.

My theory is one of them had a Here's Jonny few days breakdown and was writing about his mental state not actual storms and the last entry is when he finally cracked and loured the other two out acting crazy then Redrumed them and left the island himself...one way or another.
