@josh_neille: Five weeks ago this big blue-tongued legend came into the animal hospital after being carried around in a dog’s mouth. Super lucky bloke — no major punctures anywhere else, but he did have a decent-sized hole right through the middle of his skull from one tooth. A fair whack of blood lost and a pretty significant injury, but he held on like an absolute trooper. We cleaned him up, assessed everything properly, and treated that injury every day for five weeks until it fully healed over with no infection at all. Having a proper, clean, purpose-built space to work in now just makes caring for these critters so much easier and safer for them. And then the best part — release day. Back out into the bush where he belongs. While we were there, we also managed to release a little lowland copperhead that wandered into the neighbour’s garage. Two releases, one mission. 🦎🐍 Onya legends — whether they’re furry, feathery, or scaly, we love every one of them. 💚
