I’m a guy so I know where they are coming from, they think complimenting your natural face is the highest form of compliment, but it ignores the work girls put into makeup. Focusing on how much they like prefer her “natural beauty” is like saying that she wasted her time and is actively making herself look worse. Obviously when you look at it from that perspective you can see why many girls don’t want to hear it.

Yeah I’m a guy and I’ve never gotten this. Someone is still the same person whether they are wearing makeup or not. You don’t suddenly become a different person. It’s just a different look. You should appreciate all the aspects and facets of someone you truly love 🙏

That is an interesting perspective, but it somewhat feels backwards to me. Its like preferring the persona rather than the actual person. Also most dudes don't "appreciate" makeup in an artistic sense. They just react to how it changes a woman's appearance. Another point I'd like to make is that, dudes that say they prefer "natural beauty," comes from a place of wanting to connect with the real person, rather than the curated version everyone else sees.

People think natural is a compliment or the GOAL. Its not. At least for me, makeup is just art, and Id rather have people compliment the method and creativity I put into it. ( not to say its original but to say I put alot of thought into it)

I JUST started liking my natural lashes and only use mascara, then i started talking to this guy and hes the sweetest, but tonight he asked if i have falsies and i said ”yes, why?” And he asked why i dont wear them and i asked why would i and he said becouse theyre ”cool”.
