I grew up in severe domestic violence and abuse, first on my mom's side and now on my dad's. I experienced trauma back when I was with my mom, and now that trauma experience comes back again, but this time with my dad. I struggled with mental illness back then with my mom, and now I am also struggling with different mental illnesses with my dad. So I've always had this question back in my head: Is this forever? Am I going to live like this forever? Am I going to continue to constantly live in fear and in constant survival mode? There's always a lingering fear about the possibilities of the 'future' me. And sometimes I'm scared to continue to go on, to live my life and to get old, only to keep repeating and experiencing the same pain again and again. And I wonder if living 'this' life is even worth it.
