Jon Bradham :
In the plumbing world there are two different designations for pipe/tubing: I.P.S = Iron Pipe Size (any steel, plastic, polyethylene hose, or braided hose); and C.T.S = Copper Tube Size (any copper tube, pex{crimp style}, pex-a {expansion style}, copper and poly underground service tubing). Well done with the video, you are spot on with your presentation!

Can’t I just remove the flex tubing and put in pex when I have an issue?

Yes, “barbed” fittings for flexible hose. Stepless ear clamps, aka Oetiker clamps, are awesome. Crimp and go! No fighting with screwdrivers or nut drivers. There are pliers that offer a side clamping

Can you use a pex crimper to close those flex rings?

why would a rv tech not use those? the cost is passed on to the customer anyways, so you would recoup your money. unless they are unethical and hope for a return repair call because it failed on them later??

I have not seen any white 1/2" flex hose in my camper, just the red/blue pex. So where to they use the flex hose at? or for?

What about Uponor pex? I’ve used it in different applications and they tend to swell instead of cracking when in freezing temperatures. Have you had any experience with it?
