I had one horse getting a trim yesterday, did not want to be caught. My coking 2 year old and mule followed me around. The crew from last winter (they almost never stand together like this). Mule is 16.3, buckskin (coming 2) is about 14 and bay is about 15.1/2

After years of bonding my boy begs and will even so happily try to get in the halter when it’s his turn he makes it hard (he tries to shove his nose in the wrong holes and gets a frustrated if he gets it wrong) I love him and it always makes me feel I’m doing something right

I mean, sure, there are definitely some horses that don’t like being taken out for rides (my sister’s horse loathes it. I’ve seen her buck my sister, mom, and dad off when they were mounting😂) but overall they don’t really mind. You will always know when they don’t want you to ride them, because they won’t let you
