Every object you are testing with the infrared reader needs a calibration for each new surface btw. It’s probably not far off but if you really want to get a dialed in measurement then look up the emissivity settings.

You should seriously consider adding some burner tubes to the top of fire box so it can draw in secondary air once it gets nice and hot you can choke off the primary air intake and it will start to draw in the air from the secondary’s and will ignite the smoke while the logs are just smoldering and it will burn for 8-10hrs on some stoves !! All you have to do it drill hole in side of stove and run pipe. I’m surprised that stove doesn’t have square tubing inside the running over and down to back corners exiting underneath in rear as it’s secondary cold air intake with stainless burner tubes running across the top of firebox just under the baffle
