How do I explain. For me, Golden works best when sung by an alto stretching for the high parts, that push gives the song its emotion. Ahyeon’s vocal tone is high pitched, a bit soulless, almost like she’s just demonstrating she can hit the notes rather than expressing the character’s desire.

Actually Ejae wasn’t trying for change it to fit the “core vibe” she was recovering from bronchitis and physically could not do the notes (I’m not judging her I’ve had bronchitis and it DESTROYS your lungs and ability to sing high notes especially for long periods of time)

this is my 2 cent as a neurodivergent singer, Ejae have very unique vocal. Her voice can hit the high notes but when she hits those high notes her voice is rounded in shape which sounds more pleasant to our ears. Ahyeon also have equally high vocal however when she hits the high notes, her vocal shape became sharp like spikes, which not pleasant to our ears. yes, voices have shapes ❤️

Again its obvi that ejae can reach the key i mean lol she made tons of demo but shes not used to performing live plus with the bronchitis and all. If people gives her time to train she can outshine a lot with those powerful high notes and amazing low notes.
