Hi lovely, 2026 bride here. I was in the same boat and was considering having our wedding overseas however if you are somebody who likes having more control and overseeing everything might not recommend. There is already A LOT on your plate having it locally let alone if things were out of your hands and if you weren’t able to see a lot of things in real life etc. In relation to venues my fiancé and I just went and booked in the places we were interested in and went for an appointment to see the place and suss it out etc. final piece of advice, Tik Tok is great for inspo however sometimes the more you see, the more confused and overwhelmed you may get so limit the Tik Tok and instagram side and focus on the vision you and your fiancé have for your day. You will see a lot of opinions and should haves and would haves online. Happy planning! X

It’s sooooo overwhelming I hated it 😭 to help narrow it down I decided when (date) roughly I wanted it and how many people. Then that will narrow down some venues. Then I would suggest just visiting the venues to get a vibe of the place rather than the internet! That helped me decide quicker than I thought 💖 once the date & venue is done it seems less stressful

Type A bride over here… you don’t need a planner but get a stylist! That way you can control your logistics and vendors etc. But a stylist is so good as they can coordinate everything on the day and style to your exact vision!! I’m getting married in March and I enquired with 43 venues around Australia and Italy lol, crazy I know! The right one will come, goodluck 🥹🥹

Definitely invest in a wedding planner! Enquire with a few until you find someone that you feel drawn most to and believe can execute your vision. A lot of my inspiration was from Pinterest, I found my aesthetic on there and created a mood board as a guide. Most importantly, enjoy every moment of your bridal era! The journey is the best part 🤍

Honestly! I just got married last week and if you super type A (and getting married in Aus) it’s possible to do without a planner however, I wish I had a person who had the same level of detail as me in the week leading up to/day of. I honestly would do it for you haha

someone in wedding industry here! 100% get a wedding planner, they are your best friend during this journey, and you definitely tell them how you and do things (you have the vision, and more info you give the better) some great planners (overseas) i have worked with Mr & Mrs Smith, Nuptial collective and Ruby & James 🤍🤍
