@c5news: A court in Bangladesh has sentenced the Labour MP Tulip Siddiq to two years in prison. She has been found guilty of corruptly influencing her aunt - former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina - into helping her mother get a piece of land in a government project. Ms Siddiq was not present for the trial and is not likely to be sent to Bangladesh to serve the sentence. She also strongly denies the claims and rejects the charges. #Labour #government #Bangladesh
