@thecrick: Sam is a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist working in our Genomics technology platform. Sam and the rest of the Genomics team work with labs all over the building to find and analyse DNA sequences in everything from yeast cells to human samples. One of the tools they use to help with this is called a focused-ultrasonicator, which uses high-frequency sound waves to break, or ‘shear’, long DNA strands into smaller samples that are easier to work with. #Science #Biomed #Research #Genomics #DNA
