Coaches have been chasing the next best job for decades, and thats why I believe players have the right to earn money and do the same. It needs to be regulated better for sure (coaches and players).

College football is no different that any career or job. If most people are offered significantly more money to leave their job and go somewhere else to work they will go because it helps their family.

Not a Lane Kiffin fan at all, but in response to this argument, he was there long enough to get a degree had he been a student. He at least didn’t “one and done” them.

Coaches and players are different. Coaches get fired. Players don’t. So, coaches have to look out for the next contract. At some point, you are going to get fired. Players come and go. In any other career, people leave for a better job with more money all the time. Why would the coaching career be different? There is kind of an unspoken coaching saying…..don’t stay in one place to long. Unless your a Nick Saban, a coack K, Roy Williams, etc. That’s why being a coach is so difficult. Got to be ready to move….and your family too. Why not on your own terms?
