we have a similar problem in Australia. because our Aboriginal mobs didn't built towns they moved with the seasons, they were seen as primitive. but scientists are just realising how deep our knowledge of the stars, animals, seasons movements and how to move with them for the best living results are.

A man (Frederick Schwatka) in the town where I live was sent from 1878-1880 by the American Geographical Society to look for records believed to have left on King William Island by the lost Franklin expedition.
