Unfortunately this is very untrue. Check the laws in each state. But most employers have an attendance policy and allotted sick days. There is no disciplinary action unless you’ve hit the policy limits. In which case you’re probably abusing the system or should have filed for FLMA

they are both correct she can ask for proof that you went to the emergency room which is just clearly a doctor's note stating so and so was in the emergency room at this date this time she's stating medical record that's not what she's asking for

Also after the x amount of days have been met they can actually bar you from coming back to work until you go get seen by your or their doctor and return with a note saying you were actually sick otherwise the days you were gone will count against you I think 🤔

I think depending on the state you live in you have to be gone for x amount of days for me it’s three days in a row where I am for them to ask for a doctors note stating your actually sick or you went to the doctors to be seen simply asking for a doctors note for one day is in fact against hippa simply being gone for an upset stomach food poisoning etc isn’t enough to warrant a doctors note saying your sick they give the sick days so that you can rest recuperate and get back to 100% before returning to work 👌
