There is definitely subjectivity to it. Notre Dame did not lose to any mid tier teams, and one score losses to ranked teams EARLY is forgivable.

In that aspect it a team loses 2 games to 2 top 5 teams..let's not forget... at THE BEING OF THE SEASON..then 1 of those teams that beat ND loses 2 games to unranked teams, in the middle of the season....ND averages 30 points per game since those 2 loses...I won't be upset if Miami gets in and not ND...just trying to help away people to NDs cause

It’s called a resume. H2H is a factor. It’s only a portion of the resume though. This is an at large bid. It’s not a tie breaker situation. Strength of schedule and bad losses also count. It’s not hard to understand.

Cuz Miami is 9-2 not 10-2. You can’t play FCS schools and use the wins as a bragging point. They won the heads up but played 1 less FBS opponent.
