@resilient.calisthenics: Training your abs for calisthenics can be quite different than just training for a 6 pack! . Calisthenics relies heavily on the hollowbody position and core compression. Focusing abdominal training efforts on this can get you the well defined 6 pack and transfer to skills! . However to be well rounded and prevent injury it’s good to have some form of training for the multiple functions of the abs. Things like twisting, side bending, extending, and resisting movement are all valuable but they don’t need to be the main focus or exist in a training program all at once. In most cases as long as they are maintained in some capacity should be enough to reap the benefits. .
