…🤣🤣🤣… and yet most US insurance healthcare companies charge $40,000 per scan… so, not really a loss. 🤣🤣🤣

It's called quenching. And a doctor doesn't press it. A MRI tech would.

You'd think it being so expensive... it would be piped to a receiving tank upon emg stop. then get pumped down and right back in. not into open air

I don’t believe it cost that much, most of that get sent back to storage tank and what they lose might be a few gallon. Liquid helium cost 100 to 200 dollars per gallon

IF the magnet isn’t damage that $50k is just the start. The average cost to get the machine back running using the same magnet can easily reach $250-$400k and if the magnet is damaged that will raise the cost into the $3-4million range. Plus the lost revenue while the machine is down as well.

nobody realising that it is a multiple day long process to cool the magnet down, first with liquid nitrogen, then liquid helium and you need a whole factory to even get this gases liquid.💀

kann man nicht einfach das Helium in einen separaten Tank ablassen und später wieder umfüllen ??
