Here are my main takeaways: The capsules cannot be put into the regular kerbside recycling system in Australia, so they‘re taken care of separately by Nespresso's own recycling program and sent to this facility. All coffee leftover in the capsules gets separated and later processed into compost, used to enrich soil. After being compressed at the facility, the aluminium is then ready to be returned to the aluminium industry to make new products.
