YOU are a part of that trust. Many of us hide our emotions and thoughts about them bc past partners have seen that as a weakness and lose interest. So yes it helps to be emotionally intelligent but the most important part is how it’s received!! So kudos to you too.

Posts like this make me realize I live an uncommon life, cuz in my experience, I’m always the one sitting with and processing things and introspecting and basically every woman I’ve dated is utterly incapable of the same and just ignores every feeling or chance to learn about themselves and I end up understanding them better than they do?

I think more often men are more emotionally intelligent than you think, but a lot of men grew up with unstable dads which instilled in them that it’s not okay to recognize and dwell in emotions and the understandings of them, much less sharing those with others. There’s a lot of pressure involved with being an emotionally intelligent king 😅
