@melissa: They said I would never dance again, but then I fought so hard for years after the surgery and became a professional ballerina at 26 years old (that’s old AF in the ballet world) despite all odds. What happened to me actually gave me the courage to start living my life! I even dropped out of university to pursue living to the fullest and here we are today! I feel like I’ve lived many lives already and I feel so completely blessed with the love of my life, my children, my family, my chosen family and the circle of friends around me. You all know who you are and how you have individually helped me in my recovery journey! My goal during this 20th year, is to run a marathon, in a country that no one will ever guess where, with some of my closest friends 🥹 I’m 42 years old now and the odds are against me again. But I’m excited for this new challenge, I’m excited to prove the people who doubt me wrong, I’m excited to be an athlete again, and I’m excited to show my babies and you, that you can keep dreaming and restarting your dreams no matter how old you are! So if you’re going through something physically and/or mentally, I know it seems absolutely impossible right now to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I promise you that it does get better! It will get so much better!!! I promise you that you will come out of it stronger than before in all aspects of life. It actually took years for me to start seeing the other side, but it is there….please don’t give up because you will see and do things that you never thought was possible!! I believe in you! I see you! I haven’t spoken much about this on here, but I wanted to share a small piece of my story in the hopes to help someone. Even if it helps just one person in a small tiny way, then I am so happy.
