I think people are finally realizing we were all part of a big conspiracy to make us celebrate holidays with Decor , gifts , costly meals ( that were all tired of ) all for consumerism.

I moved in with my elderly mom to take care of her in her final years. The clutter is driving me insane!! But, each thing holds a memory for her and she refuses to let ANYTHING go. It makes doing anything in the house an absolute chore 😭😭😭😭

I started too also, all Christmas cards from previous friends and family, some high heel shoes, oversized bags, purses, trinkets or items gifted to me by people who i dont talk to any more all donated. I was asked by my granddaughter why? because yes at the time that person bought you or made you something beautiful but they no longer appreciate you so if they can move on so can I..lol..lol..someone else can enjoy it..

I agree either all of these. I don't do themes in my apt. I go to big fancy stores and hotels to see the beautiful decorations and leave them there👏

Did you know I collect nothing? I don’t collect snowmen, owls, baskets…. Nothing. 0 collections. I refuse to have more than two of anything in my home, just so no one think I like them and want more of them.

I only buy things that I absolutely LOVE and if I don’t have a place in mind for it, it stays at the store. Also, if one item comes in, another leaves.

When I got divorced and down sized to a 1000 sq ft condo I realized very quickly I did not need a 50 piece cook set an 8 ft tall tree and 17 pumpkins. Now my cheap dopamine impulse buy crystal collection yeah I’m keeping that bad habit lol.

I’ve been trying but not getting anywhere. I realize that I’m guilty of a lot of those things in the list still.:/ I want space but have way too much stuff! :( and my life is in a very stressful and sad place so I don’t know how to start again.:(
