I don’t have anyone in my life that I can talk to about the specific problems that come with being a “content creator” (I hate that phrase lol) so it’s nice to hear you say this. I question if I can do it sometimes, but at the end of the day, the joy I find in making silly videos makes it worth it for me. the worst part is that if you want a creative career nowadays you HAVE to use these evil platforms. I don’t feel like I have a choice

I have this idea that people need to learn information literacy, and learn how to tune in and out certain forms of information that includes certain creators online based on what type of response they’re trying to generate from you. I think it’s also important to train your algorithm to teach it to show you either positive or uplifting things that you need and how to filter out things that are going to bring you down. This takes a certain amount of control to start scrolling past things that might otherwise attract your attention.
