@campusmama: Broiler chicken series :Episode 17- Chicken Mshikaki Welcome back to another episode of my broiler chicken recipes. Today we’re making Mishikaki ya Kuku; juicy tasty chicken skewers. Perfect for grilling, pan-frying, oven-roasting, or even on your jiko. I personally oven roasted mine You’ll need: *Chicken cubes preferably chicken thighs( you can use breast but thighs are juicier) *2 tbsp garlic ginger paste *1 tbsp coriander powder/garam masala *1 tsp salt (adjust to taste) *Juice of 1 lemon *1 tbsp oil *1 tsp paprika *1 tsp fresh herbs finely minced (I used thyme and rosemary) *1/2 tsp black pepper *Any other spices you like *Wooden skewers soaked in water for 20–30 minutes Marinate the chicken: *In a bowl, combine all your spices and mix into a smooth marinade. *Add the chicken cubes and coat very well. *Cover and marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight is better) *place the chicken pieces onto soaked skewers. *If grilling: Place on a medium-high grill and turning until cooked and slightly charred. *If pan-frying: Add a little oil to a pan and cook skewers on medium heat, turning often. *If oven-roasting like me: Bake at 200°C for 20–25 minutes, turning them halfway. *Serve with kachumbari, fries, or ugali. #mishikaki #mishikakiyakuku #broilerchickenrecipes #chickenskewers #easychickenrecipes
