The simplest solution is to enact laws against this. But that would require privacy advocates to have a large lobby than BOTH the retails companies and the AI companies.

There are now glasses you can get on xenni (read: affordable) that are anti AI and anti facial recognition. They have something in the lenses that scramble (?) the ability for a camera to “read” someone’s eyes.
