It’s been confirmed by the creator himself; he said something about wanting the final episode ever of Mr Bean to reveal he is an alien amongst other Mr. Beans in a spaceship; which did in fact happen in the animated series - despite not being the last ever episode of Mr. Bean

I personally think that he's a normal human, that was abducted by aliens, cloned his appearance, made him an adult and sent back to earth, that's what we see in the intro

Between this one and the one where he gets beamed up, I honestly thought the aliens took him and were like ‘oh nah. We don’t want this guy’ and tossed him back because in my head that my sense with the humour that not even the aliens wanted poor Mr bean. This alternative never occurred to me 😂😂😂😂

Given the way the intro says "behold the man who is a bean" and it seems to be referencing the bible with the churchy chanting and the reference to ecce home (what the Romans say when condemning Jesus) I assumed he was some kind of Angel.
