I do think for that junction in Cardiff, it should be concrete barrier, because this is the main reason middle and right lanes get congested. Right after that slip road things move again

Its because that lane goes to an exit and there are signs telling you to get in your lane early on 👍 you using that lane and merging later on causes braking and a chain effect of traffic later behind you. Its bot like a zipper merge when dropping to one lane because there’s still two lanes to use to head to Cardiff

Also, if the average speed check is 50 and you’ve been doing 10 for the last 20 minutes you can comfortably go up to 70 and still be well under the average trigger. That said, I think they should stick diamonds between lane 1 and 2 and fine anybody that doesn’t exit having been in lane 1 from at least a mile back.
