Thanksgiving turkey doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated to turn out GOOD! 🦃🔥 If you’re skipping the whole bird this year or can’t find a turkey breast for the life of you, grab one of these inexpensive Butterball turkey roasts! They’re easy to find, simple to cook, and can turn out incredibly juicy when done right! 🤙🏻 No fancy injections or extra brining needed here. Just some good seasoning, a little smoke, and knowing when to pull that bird! INGREDIENTS: * Butterball Boneless Turkey Breast Roast * Duck Fat (binder) * Coarse Black Pepper * @KOSMOS Q Dirty Bird Rub * Unsalted Butter * Kosmos Q Cherry Apple Habanero BBQ Glaze INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat your smoker to 325°F. I used my @lonestargrillz.com with @Royal Oak Charcoal charcoal and hickory pellets, plus some hickory wood chips. 2. Remove the turkey roast from its packaging, pat dry, and leave the cooking netting on as it keeps everything together. 3. Apply a light coating of duck fat, followed by black pepper and a generous layer of Dirty Bird seasoning. 4. Place on the smoker at 325°F and cook until the turkey reaches 155°F. 5. Remove the netting, add some butter and a coating of Kosmos Q Cherry Apple Habanero glaze. 6. Rest before slicing! I used my food warmer for about an hour to keep everything nice and warm and also finish carrying over to 165°F PRO TIP: Temperature is EVERYTHING! While 165°F is the standard recommended internal temperature for poultry, lower temperatures can be safe when held long enough for proper pasteurization. Don’t rely on carryover cooking alone to get you there! And that’s it, y’all! Nothing crazy, just a simple, budget-friendly Thanksgiving turkey that’ll have everyone coming back for seconds! 👊🏻 Save this one for Thanksgiving and let me know if you’re Team Whole Bird or Team Turkey Breast! 🦃 #smokedturkey #thanksgivingturkey #turkeybreast #turkeyrecipe #bbq
