@dogs.rescue.usa2: Aren’t roadkill moments tough to see? 💔 There’s no sign on the highway that says “Warning: you’re about to see a beloved animal who didn’t make it.” It’s heartbreaking — and it’s a part of rescue most people never talk about. As an animal rescuer and founder one of the hard but necessary parts of my work is moving deceased animals off the road so they can rest with dignity and so other wildlife aren’t harmed trying to feed on them. It’s never easy, and I don’t always film these moments, but they are real and they matter. Wildlife deserves respect too. If it’s safe and on your heart to do so, please consider gently moving animals off the roadway when you come across them. A small act of compassion can prevent more loss. 💔 Thank you to everyone who supports our work — your kindness helps us show love, even in the hardest moments. 🕊️ If you’d like to help, we could truly use gloves (for safe road and field cleanup). Thank you so much!!! 😢 We are still out here cleaning up roads during this trip to get materials for the storm but I promise I won’t post any more road cleanups like this today. Not trying to ruin anyone’s day. Just want to show the reality of my work. Thank you for reading. ❤️
