@vt.physics: Dry Ice In Slime: Watch It Transform When dry ice is trapped inside slime, it sublimates... changing straight from solid to gas... and the slime inflates like a balloon. But the white fog you see isn’t carbon dioxide because CO₂ gas is invisible. That misty cloud is actually tiny droplets of water from the air and the slime itself, instantly condensed by the freezing-cold gas rushing out when the bubble pops. But if you try it in oil instead of slime, the mist doesn't appear because oil contains almost no water, so the CO₂ forms clear bubbles without creating any fog. #science #learning #dryice #slime
