most times i don’t annotate but always regret it after finishing, so i end up annotating after a reread 😭

I have been taking notes on all the characters in a book for the last 11 years. I just use spiral notebooks. It’s an easy way to keep them all straight. When my friends borrow my books, they ask for my notes. So, if they are away from the book for a few days, they ask notes refresh who the characters are.

You should get those transparent post its. You can make notes on the page and then you can write in your book without writing on the pages! I love them.

I have always circled words I don’t know and write the meaning above it in the book. My friends who borrow my books tell me it helps them too.

I try not to mark out quotes, as a way to keep my concentration on the text. I am somehow more into read it, trying to remember all the epic stuff and afterwards trying to find without luck. 🤣
