@janklabs: I dug a massive 8 foot deep pole on the Homestead with my backhoe. But I’m feeling it in today because plans have changed. I got scared being down there because if those walls collapse while I’m building the water tanks I am going to die instantly. So to be safe, I am filling it in for the most part and I am reducing the depth to only 4 feet. And instead of a buried water cistern I am instead of going to be building a partially sunken greenhouse which will be heated. And then all my water storage will go in there, and I won’t have to bury them super deep in the ground anymore. #DIY #OffGrid #Homestead.
