The reason the Virginia Class was on the table is because its older tech & is currently having its replacement being worked on whilst the B-21 is the replacement for the B-2.

They already operate b2’s from our air bases. We’re funding the subs but we also wont see a single sub because the US is still behind on the number they believe they need. We will simply hire them at a great expense and the US will own and operate.
