0w40 faster than 5w30? our country malaysia weather average 30c above, 0w is no any function, so result 5w30 is smoother than 0w40 during engine working temperature. Many new car for now 1.6 and above is using 5w30, this gred not for what you say moderate wear car. 5w30 is balanced performance gred oil smooth and protect engine. 0w20 too thin not suitable for high rev.
