I was a Pakistani expat born in Jeddah and for whatever reason, the Saudi government had decided to show seseame street (children’s workshop), beacman’s works, that’s incredible, beyond 2000, McGuyver etc. I learned all my English through the tube, my intense curiosity for science was thanks to these shows.

لنتذكر... (( الرائع سامي كلارك رحمه الله )) كانت هذه المسلسلات الكرتونية بعربية اقرب للفصحى بلغة واضحة لغة سلسة جاذبة تناسب ذهنية الطفل ليس بها تكلف بمخرج حروف صحيحة يتقبلها الطفل باريحبة رسالة هذه المسلسلات كانت تحفيز على الأخلاق نبيلة كالصدق (لا عنف ولا خلاعة)

for us arabs born n raised in the west . we would watch the vhs video tapes of our parents arab cinema /film movies /comedy . adel imam / ghawar (duraid laham) syrian/egyptian / jordainian bedouin films , were top tier entertainment

oh my God as soon as he said Japanese anime the first thing I thought of was the cartoon "Grendaiser" 🤣🤣 and as soon as I began to sing it , it came on the video all spontaneously
