who's calling it fake or trying to figure out how this could happen this is actually a fairly normal in terms of a canning production oopsie. every now and again I don't know the exact spacing, can ceiling lines have to be tested to make sure the can really does seal. nothing loves to get through gaps in the seal better than water and it's really easy to spot if water spilling out of the can, So they produce a mini batch filled with water and then proceed to toss and roll the cans around and try and make sure none of them turn into little water bombs. sometimes not the entire collection of water filled cans get sent to the testing site, some get left on the production line. those accidentally forgotten our mistaken for properly packaged product, and sold accordingly. Ocean spray already publicly announced that they have no idea that number but they know that it happened. above all else though the important thing is to remember that this event happening was only because Ocean spray wanted to make extra super mega sure that their cans were ceiling correctly. does it suck you cracked open the can and got water Yes, but it's like getting mad at a vehicle company for crashing a car to make sure the seat belt won't let you go flying out the windshield... better to just say thank you for the caution and move on with life.
