I think people in the comments are missing the point that it's SUGAR SYRUP. It wouldn't be consumed like you would a punnet of strawberries, you'd use it like a damn SYRUP!

I’ve found heating it up is better with soft berries because the compounds in the berries react when heated. That’s why strewberry jam always tastes more like strawberries then a syrup
