when you said "I can add more" the breathy-ness went away and sounded amazing to me. I am curious why you feel like adding more air takes the power out of your voice because to me it sounded like it added the power back into the higher pitch voice.

I liked the switch. it was subtle, but intentional. it's not cartoonish but more delicate/breathy. the most natural I've heard from you. not nasal nor annoying to listen to all day long

As an AFAB ENBY ... I hate how my socializing made me automatically talk in my head voice and even as a singer (always was a soprano, but my range is closer to contralto) my voice is a lot deeper now that I've been trying to find my true voice.

singing might be helpful...hear me out: if you try to sing in a register just a bit higher than normal, would it change your speaking voice? I've had musicians guess my range just by hearing my name. (professionals will actually be able to help/advise). luv ya! ✨

Ok so a) is that Clinique black honey? Coz I fricking love that. It’s my go to. And b) I completely understand you not wanting to lose the power. But I think if you’re changing the placement to sorta mid throat area (if that’s a way to word it), then the breathiness does soften it, but I also think the power will come back over time as you get used to the new femme voice. Journey not destination and all that. But as a singer and a communicator too, I get it

My dear wonderful girl. I've been following you for sometime now. I'm so proud of you. I am really so proud of you. You probably don't even realize what a blessing that you've been to me when you talk about the Bible and breaking down scripture verses and everything. And about your voice, you just have to do what you have to do but I love your voice that you have now and I will probably even like the voice that you are trying to create. It's not up to anybody else except you. Except you. I'm an old lady and it's taking me way too long to come to terms with a whole bunch of issues in my life. But having loved ones in LGBTQ community has really opened my eyes. You are great you're such a smart and articulate. OK I'm gonna say it cute girl woman. cute girl/woman. And I just wanna tell you from a complete stranger that I love you very much. I'm so proud of you. Day by day. Just take your time change takes a long time. Don't rush it be strong be brave, and keep reaching out to other people. I cannot tell you again just how much I am so very proud of you. And to think that you are doing all this work Emotionally and physically out in public. You just amaze me girl. I'm just so proud of you. As a singer whose voice lands in the Jeremy Camp / Mac Powell range, I find comfort with, and enjoy, my old singing voice (it feels protective and safe) but singing with it when I am alone is making it difficult for me to be consistent with my, more feminine speaking voice. This is only compounded by the fact that my dad has hearing loss and can’t hear me unless I drop into male range. The whole voice thing is one of the most difficult parts of transitioning, for me to navigate. Maybe I will start using my poetry as a way to find comfort with my voice and a soft, comfortable place for it to land and, like you, putting it out there on TikTok may help me to gain the comfort and confidence needed to finally fall back into my old speech patterns and a more natural range.

As a tall cis woman, with short hair, I worry about being transvestigated. We keep hearing more stories of cis women being accosted for using public restrooms. I completely understand your fear, and support your journey to find more safety and also to find a voice that works for you
