Think they meant guide canes for blind & visually impaired people. Also do you have to pay for guide canes there? I got mine for free and the cane training to go with it (visually impaired from the uk)

IDK but my uncle is in a reform program in prison. They train dogs and send them off to ppl who need service dogs.

I laughed at “you don’t give an inmate a cane”. There was at least one offender in every housing unit that used a cane. I don’t recall an incident where an officer, let alone a captain, was hit with one.

Y’a we still give out canes from medical. Old timey wooden lightweight ones. They prefer the wheelchairs though.
