This is all true, I did the same thing on Chevy Blazer EV. GM has a lot of rebates that are stackable like military, first responders, costco members, ect.

The problem is if you make one payment and something happens to your car, it gets stolen or totaled you lose all your money.

You should never put anything down on a lease. If you total the car then that money is gone forever.
