My kids get presents all year round so now it’s December they don’t want nothing because they don’t need nothing, my eldest is 11 he asks for a new ps controller and a basketball hoop I got them in Black Friday for less than £70, my daughter asked for a dress making kit for her dolls £16 and my baby boy who’s 4 asked for nothing so I got him a scooter, nothing what they got last year do they bother with this year so why stress myself, we’re going to have a nice family dinner with loads of chocolates and Yule log cake and maybe have a little holiday for my twins birthday 🥰

I couldn’t care less for social media, I don’t care what others have i don’t care for others to see what i have. I literally spend what i want to on my child.. i don’t overbuy because she has things that dont get played with. She gets an xmas eve box but its just new pjamas, a new mug, a book and a few treats to eat while we watch a film.. i follow how i was raised and that usually means a main present with a few smaller ones and then some stocking fillers

The rich ladies that shop where I work also don’t think spending a lot on presents for Christmas is necessary, they often spend it on a family holiday either at Christmas time or surprise them with it on Christmas and go later, they say the experiences and memories are better than anything they could wrap up x

Same tbh, my son’s birthday month before xmas. I like to make birthdays special with cake, balloons, day out, few presents etc & Christmas Day is for a few presents and a nice dinner. I don’t faff about with Christmas boxes, elf on the shelf all that shit it’s unnecessary and overconsumption.

I absolutely would do the same as I do now. I love treating my daughter and she is happy to play with the things I buy even though it’s a lot. I do completely understand parents who have lower budgets. Due to personal reasons we don’t have days out often so try and make it so she’s entertained as much as possible. I think it’s ridiculous how parents are judged on what they do buy I think it’s fantastic when kids get 3 presents or 300 people should do what’s best for them and their family 💕

I do it for myself and my children. I love giving. I don’t upload everything to social media as I don’t use social media to show anything off. I’m super savy I don’t do December boxes tho xmas eve box normally is a book pjs chocolates and an activity. Christmas my son does get a lot in my opinion I normally make it about 20 presents and they could be anything from socks to a ps5 (that’s what he has this year as his main present) the older he’s getting there more expensive things are getting so the smaller his pile is going to be
