@nicolabackatit: follow if you have back pain too 💙 tried going into the store to get just 3 items and had to stop in the isle and crouch down at least 5 times just to relieve the pain enough so I could get to the cashier. took me at least 20 minutesto get 3 items because I had to stop so many times plus my walking is slow due to radiculopathy. if I forget an item on the list, no way I was walking back to the isle to get it. Thankful for a husband who is able bodied right now to carry these upstairs for me after he gets home from work 🥰 #sciaticpain #discherniation #discherniationrecovery #grocerydelivery
because of mine I actually put a really cute little bench out by our door so that nobody has to bend down anymore and the instructions on the deliveries are to leave on the bench!

6 months off 3 herniated discs. It’s def an adjustment to life. Let some time pass and then slowly start doing some core back workouts . Take it easy tho flare ups are always around the corner. Just fought one off last night with bed decompressions

When I say, move just move. I had a herniated disc about 4 months ago now. L4-L5 with Nero down my left leg. Causing complete numbness below my left knee to the top of my foot. I was told to move as much as I can with light physical therapy movements. Wasn’t able to walk up stairs the first month and a half and now 2 half months later I can. It’s not as fast and still assisted. But I can do it. Core and back exercises is what I was told to me by many people so I’m listening. I do not want the surgery but I’m afraid with my HAVC job I’m not quite ready to step back in the field or just ever again.

I just had my epidural and it has improved my pain! Not a complete fix but this is needed to get into PT, hoping you find relief soon!

Similar injury here! I also find myself reminding those that help out to be careful and use their legs lol. This pain is extreme, severe and not wished upon anything. I’ve attempted PT (pain didn’t let me do much), epidural (caused a flare up, was told might have relief on second one but I opted out due to extreme sxs). Anyways I am scheduled for surgery next month and have found that warm baths in the AM to warm up the hip flexors has been helpful (pain will still radiate but water helps distract a bit). Wedge pillow to support my hips and lay in a frog position has also been helpful and I noticed a reduce limp most days after adding this to my daily. TENS UNIT THO! I use mine around the clock, I would recommend trying one out! Best of luck, praying for your recovery ❤️
