I'm a HVAC Engineer, I've been using full hot water (straight from the kitchen tap at 60deg C) for 25 years on loads of different cars and never EVER had a problem. Helps if the glass is clean so it runs off quick though otherwise it can re-freeze.

kevin_ruiz_j :
Pouring boiling water onto a frozen windscreen can cause it to crack or shatter due to the sudden temperature change. The thermal shock stresses the glass, especially if there are small chips or weak points. It's safer to use lukewarm water, a scraper, or a de‑icer spray instead.

Don’t do this. Theres a big probability that it will crack, and even if it doesn’t, the water will simply refreeze
