@dogs.rescue.usa2: Yesterday, I shared a live video from the sanctuary, and throughout the entire clip, you could hear gunshots in the background. 😢 Running a rescue is exhausting—emotionally, physically, and financially. When donations slow down, resources become scarce, and the stress piles on. It’s hard to stay focused when you’re constantly worried about safety, privacy, and meeting urgent needs for the animals. I don’t need help feeding the animals—I need help building this sanctuary to keep them safe. Right now, my basic needs aren’t being met, and it’s putting both my life and the lives of these animals at risk. Asking for donations sometimes brings guilt trips instead of support, and it’s heartbreaking. If more people watching understood how critical funding is, they’d see why rescues often shut down—it’s not for lack of love or effort, but lack of resources. I’m asking for your help: • Donate if you can, so we can hire professionals to build and improve the sanctuary faster. • Comment “volunteer” if you’d like to help in person or virtually. My admin assistant, Kervin, will reach out this week. After this month, I’ll be hopefully taking a one-month hiatus for professional training and self-care because I need to prioritize myself to keep going.
